I left Egypt in 1985 and my family and I didn't consider installing a satellite dish until recently. I was very shocked at the musical videos and their explicit nature. There were a few times where I had to blink and rub my eyes to believe what I saw. I think I'm the only one in the M.E. or maybe the world who doesn't think that Haifa Wehbe is attractive or talented. Her raccoon make-up and glassy eyes makes her look like she died thirty years ago before taking this picture. Even Nancy Ajram with her innocent and playful look, didn't convince me of her talent.
A month or so ago I came across this music video of a Lebanese singer with the name Cyrine Abd Al-Nour. After watching I could see how she is different. She is very attractive with little make-up and knew how to draw the line between sexy and cheap. The lyrics are matching the theme of the video which many arab singers neglect. The clothes were perfect, the scenery and the dance were suitable and she had a very passionate look on her face which helped her video to stand out.

You're not the only one, I also happen to think that Nancy Agram looks like crap. Blagh. I really don't get the hype surrounding her and her looks. Haifa is also way too overrated in the looks department. And cheap kaman.
About Cyrine: In some shots - strangely enough - she looks like a more mature and less artifical Nancy Agram. I'm not really into Arabic music but I see what you mean, the video is definitely more tasteful than what the above have to offer.

Hi Twosret, yes this looks like a more natural version of Nancy Ajram, she's pretty and does have a good voice. Haifa Wahbe is excuse my language a s&&t and should be sued for child abuse for her song 'elwawa' how disgusting she is layering on us explicit material while acting the part of a baby sitter.
Nancy Ajram funnily enough does have a big voice by the way , you shoould hear her rendering of El-Sit Umkalsoum. The girl shot to stardom on the Lebanese talent show 'ka's el nojoom' and that is a tough competition , but I believe her brain is pea sized. Later on she had several cosmetic surgeries and decided to sing lighter pop music because that is what the audience wants nowadays.
